What New York’s pages say

NYSERDA's IRA FAQ (undated, written around September 2024) says HEAR via EmPower+ was the only IRA home energy rebate available in New York, an Appliance Upgrade Program (heat pump clothes dryers) was to launch October 2024, and HER-funded single-family offerings (to be integrated into EmPower+ and Comfort Home) were expected in early 2025. NYSERDA's 2026 EmPower+ page still references HEAR incentives and shows no pause; the Comfort Home page (modified Sept. 2, 2026) does not mention IRA funding. We could not find a current NYSERDA page confirming HER/HOMES has launched, or describing NY's changes under DOE Program Notice 26-2 (no fuel switching), so we list the HOMES status as unconfirmed. NYSERDA's former Home Energy Rebates URL returns 'File Not Found'. DOE approved NY's HEAR application April 15, 2024 ($158 million award).

The Building Performance Association's June 2026 map, a trade-group source and the only national list since DOE stopped publishing one, lists New York as “Applied & Rebates Available (launched)”.
