About

Why this site exists

Canada's official tool for finding an energy auditor is a phone list. Rebate programs close with two weeks' notice while half the internet keeps advertising them. And the big lead-gen platforms sell "energy audit" leads to solar and HVAC reps. Homeowners deserved a better front door — so we built one.

The rules we operate by

Only real auditors. Every provider listed is an NRCan-licensed service organization — the only kind whose EnerGuide assessments qualify for rebate programs. We do not list contractors whose "free audit" is a sales pitch, and we say so out loud.

No pay-to-rank. Ordering favours transparency (published prices first) and community organizations — never payment. If we ever sell placement, it will be labelled as such, separately from organic listings.

Dated claims. Program facts carry the date we verified them against the official page — currently August 23, 2026. We list closed programs on purpose, because "still advertising the Greener Homes Grant" is the fastest way to spot a stale source.

Estimates labelled as estimates. The planner's savings figures are ranges based on how similar homes typically perform, with every assumption published in our data files. An EnerGuide assessment of your actual house replaces them — that's the point.

Corrections are fast. Listings are compiled from public sources (linked on each profile). If something's wrong, email hello@audityourhome.com and we'll fix or remove it promptly. Providers can claim their profiles free.

What's next

Online booking, provider-verified profiles, French for Quebec and francophone Ontario, provincial expansion (Manitoba and Atlantic Canada first), and US launch in audit-ordinance cities and HOMES-rebate states. If you want any of that sooner, tell us.
