York is part of the Bosch family. ENERGY STAR lists 105 York outdoor models certified for the US, 61 of them cold-climate, and its best certified pairing heats at a COP of 2.84 at 5°F.

Warranty
Registration: Register online within 90 days of installation (or closing) or coverage reverts to 5-year parts and a standard 5- or 10-year compressor term. Registered Affinity split systems (e.g., the R-410A YZV) carry a lifetime compressor limited warranty; current R-454B models such as YH9 and YH6 list a 10-year compressor.
Labour: No standard labour cover; York mentions a seasonal Extended Labor Warranty on qualifying systems without giving terms.
York's site, which also targets Canadian buyers, publishes no separate Canadian terms; ask the dealer for the Canadian certificate.

- The site still lists R-410A models (e.g., YZV Affinity, YH2E) next to R-454B ones; confirm refrigerant on quotes
- Lifetime compressor cover is tied to Affinity models; the R-454B YH9 lists 10 years
- Brand in transition: york.com now redirects to york.bosch-hcgroup.com and the name is licensed from Johnson Controls; ductless pages show only older SEER ratings, no refrigerant and no heating limits
Which rebates York models fit
Every model in these tables is ENERGY STAR certified, which is the federal equipment rule for the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates where your state runs them. 61 York outdoor models also meet ENERGY STAR Cold Climate, which several utility programs require. The 25C tax credit ended for heat pumps placed in service after December 31, 2025.
