Warranty
Registration: Not stated on the brand pages reviewed. Maytag says products must be registered to receive its limited parts warranty (12 years) and Dependability Promise (M1200: compressor or heat exchanger replaced if it fails in the first 12 years; M120: 1 year). Frigidaire and Gibson headline a 10-year limited parts warranty.
Canadian terms, and which brands are sold in Canada, were not found; Rheem Canada took over NGH sales in Canada in 2026.

Watch-outs
- Brand names are licensed: Frigidaire 'used under license from Electrolux', Maytag 'Manufactured under license by Nordyne'; the appliance companies don't build these heat pumps
- Refrigerant isn't stated on Maytag or Frigidaire heat pump pages, and the models found top out around 15.2 SEER2 with no inverter or cold-climate heat pump
- Broan and Westinghouse no longer appear on Nordyne's brand list (October 2026); older reviews may still describe them
- Maytag requires registration for its warranty, but the deadline isn't published on its warranty page
Which rebates Frigidaire, Maytag, Gibson and other Nordyne brands models fit
Every model in these tables is ENERGY STAR certified, which is the federal equipment rule for the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates where your state runs them. 20 Frigidaire, Maytag, Gibson and other Nordyne brands outdoor models also meet ENERGY STAR Cold Climate, which several utility programs require. The 25C tax credit ended for heat pumps placed in service after December 31, 2025.
