Warranty
Registration: Floating Air ductless: 7-year parts if not registered within 90 days of installation (10 if registered); compressor 10 years either way. Kühl, Breeze and PTAC terms were not verified.
Labour: Not covered: the Floating Air warranty excludes labour and shipping.
The Floating Air certificate covers equipment installed in the US or Canada: 7-year parts unless registered within 90 days (then 10); compressor 10 years. Quebec isn't mentioned.

Watch-outs
- Kühl heat pumps heat efficiently only down to about 45°F before backup electric heat (230V models) takes over; not a whole-home cold-climate solution
- Floating Air parts cover is 7 years unless registered within 90 days, and labour is not covered
- Floating Air is the same platform Rheem and Ruud sell under their own names, so compare quotes across all three
- The ductless warranty excludes equipment not installed by a qualified, trained HVAC professional
Which rebates Friedrich models fit
Every model in these tables is ENERGY STAR certified, which is the federal equipment rule for the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates where your state runs them. 75 Friedrich outdoor models also meet ENERGY STAR Cold Climate, which several utility programs require. The 25C tax credit ended for heat pumps placed in service after December 31, 2025.
