Ontario Home Renovation Savings Program (HRSP)
Also called: Home Renovation Savings Program · Home Renovation Savings
Ontario's home rebate program, run by Enbridge Gas and the province's Save on Energy, for insulation, windows, air sealing, heat pumps and more.
What it means
Some rebates need no assessment (heat pumps, attic insulation, smart thermostats, appliances, and solar with battery storage); others need a pre-retrofit evaluation before work and a post-retrofit evaluation after, through an approved service organization. Only property owners can apply, and eligibility depends on being on the Ontario grid or an Enbridge Gas customer, depending on the upgrade. Administrators can change or end rebates without notice, and payments depend on available funding.
Why it matters in an audit
It's a main home-retrofit incentive in Ontario now that the federal Greener Homes Grant has closed, and its assessment stream has firm 2026 deadlines.
