Canada Greener Homes Grant (closed)

Also called: Greener Homes Grant · CGHG

A federal home retrofit grant that took applications from May 2021 to February 2024; it's closed, and its final document deadline was Dec 31, 2025.

What it means

The grant required pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluations and reimbursed eligible upgrades. It stopped taking new applicants in February 2024, and payment requests are no longer accepted. Current help includes the income-based Canada Greener Homes Affordability Program and provincial programs such as Ontario's HRSP.

Older articles and contractor pages still mention it, so make sure you're applying to a program that's actually open.
