Canada Greener Homes Loan (closed)

A federal home-retrofit loan program that stopped accepting applications on Oct 1, 2025; loans already approved are not affected.
What it means
It was paired with the Greener Homes Grant and relied on EnerGuide evaluations. NRCan says no further applications can be approved, while loans approved before the closure continue under their terms.
Why it matters in an audit
If you see it in older guides, look instead at provincial or municipal financing, on-bill financing or PACE programs.
