Strengths and watch-outs
Strengths
- The Pro Series A7CP21V delivers 'high performance heating down to 5°F before auxiliary heat turns on' (Allied Air, Dec 2024)
- The warranty explicitly applies in the US and Canada; 10-year parts and compressor with registration (Allied Air certificate)
- The same equipment under several badges (Armstrong Air = AirEase, Ducane = Concord) widens dealer choice
- Extended options, including full unit replacement, are available through ComforTeam/ProTeam dealers (Armstrong Air A7CP21V page)
Watch-outs
- 60-day registration deadline; basic cover is 5 years
- No published sub-zero rating: the A7CP21V claim stops at 5°F with no capacity percentage, and the 7SHP15V only claims operation 'down to 0°F'
- No labour cover in the factory warranty
- Product pages say only 'Low GWP' and list no ductless or mini-split models; the Ducane and Concord sites show no Canadian content
