Durham Greener Homes Loan

Durham Region local improvement charge loan (Durham Greener Homes): up to $125,000 at 2% interest, fixed 15-year repayment on the property tax bill, with up to 50% of eligible funds available up front. At least 80% must go to energy-efficiency upgrades (insulation, windows, air sealing, heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, solar, batteries); up to 20% can go to other eligible items (flood/weather resilience, electrical, EV charging, EnerGuide evaluation and permit costs).
