The audit question

No audit required

No audit required — grants apply directly to eligible equipment. An EnerGuide or Rénoclimat evaluation is still the smart first step so the heat pump gets sized to an improved envelope, not the leaky one.

Who qualifies

Hydro-Québec residential customers installing eligible equipment. Grants are claimed per measure; several are handled by the installer directly on the invoice.

How to apply, step by step

  1. Confirm the model is on the eligible list (ENERGY STAR certification is mandatory for heat pumps installed after November 26, 2025).

  2. Get a real heat-loss calculation before quotes — the grant scales with capacity, but oversizing still costs you comfort and efficiency.

  3. Install through a qualified contractor; several measures are credited by the installer on the invoice.

  4. Submit remaining claims through your Hydro-Québec account with the invoices.

  5. Pair with Rénoclimat for the envelope side — the two programs are designed as a set.

The gotchas

  • Non-ENERGY STAR heat pumps installed after November 26, 2025 get nothing — check the model number before signing.
  • Roof insulation left LogisVert in August 2025; contractors still quoting it under LogisVert are working from stale information (our standing trust test).
  • Grant-per-BTU can tempt oversizing — the F280 heat-loss calculation is your defence, and our guide covers it.

Worth knowing

The roof-insulation-and-caulking measure ended August 25, 2025 — envelope money now lives entirely with Rénoclimat. LogisVert remains the fastest equipment money in the country: no audit gate, and capacity-scaled heat pump grants that reward proper (not oversized) sizing.

Common questions

How much does LogisVert pay for a heat pump?

Between $50 and $120 per 1,000 BTU/h of capacity depending on the system type and efficiency, verified against Hydro-Québec's page September 21, 2026 — a typical properly-sized wall-mounted system lands in the low thousands. ENERGY STAR certification is required for installs after November 26, 2025.

Does LogisVert require an energy audit?

No — it's Quebec's no-audit equipment stream. But sizing the heat pump from a CSA F280 heat-loss calculation (ideally after Rénoclimat envelope work) is what makes the equipment actually perform; the grant pays either way, your comfort doesn't.

Can I still get LogisVert money for insulation?

No — the roof insulation and caulking measure ended August 25, 2025. Envelope rebates run through Rénoclimat now; LogisVert covers equipment, appliances and solar.
